1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

SAGE Intelligence Group is a licensed private investigations, security, and intelligence agency providing investigations, due diligence, OSINT research, litigation support, and related services to law firms, businesses, and individual clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information we collect or receive from visitors or users through our website at https://www.sageintelligencegroup.com (the "Site") and through our interactions with prospective and actual clients.

This policy applies to visitors or users to our Site, people who submit intake or contact forms, and our clients and their representatives.

2. Examples of Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  1. Contact and intake details (name, email, phone, organization, and the nature of your inquiry or matter).
  2. Information submitted through forms, engagement documents, or correspondence.
  3. Billing and payment information (for clients).

Information we collect automatically when you use the Site:

  1. Log data, such as IP address, browser type, referring pages, and the date and time of requests.
  2. Usage data, such as how you navigate and interact with the Site, including pages viewed, features used, time spent, and session and click activity.
  3. Device information, such as device type, operating system, identifiers, and settings.
  4. Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.

Information we collect additionally:

  1. Information from third parties, such as marketing, analytics, and lead generation vendors, security partners, and publicly available sources used to evaluate and respond to inquiries.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  1. Respond to inquiries and evaluate and provide our services.
  2. Communicate with you about your matter, our services, and events.
  3. Operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site and our services.
  4. Understand how the Site is used and measure the effectiveness of our content and outreach.
  5. Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  6. Comply with legal and regulatory obligations and enforce our agreements.
  7. Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Analytics and Tracking

We and our service providers use cookies, scripts, server logs, and similar technologies to collect usage data and operate the Site. Categories include necessary, performance and analytics, functional, and, where used, advertising technologies. You can manage your choices as described in our Cookie Policy, through your browser, and, where we use advertising technologies, through the opt out described in Section 9. We honor recognized opt out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law.

5. AI and Service Improvement:

We may use deidentified or aggregated data derived from Site usage and our operations to analyze and improve our services. If we develop or train analytical or AI models, we will not use information that identifies you or any individual for that purpose without a lawful basis and, where required, your consent.

6. How We Share Information

We may share personal information as reasonably needed with:

  1. Service providers (hosting, IT, payment processing, analytics, marketing) under contracts limiting their use of the data.
  2. Staff or independent contractors working on your matters.
  3. Professional advisors, such as accountants, lawyers, and insurers.
  4. Legal, regulatory, and law enforcement recipients when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud or harm, or protect rights and safety.
  5. A successor in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets), subject to notice where required.

7. We Do Not Sell Your Information

SAGE does not sell or share personal data with third parties in exchange for payment. However, to the extent permitted by applicable law we may provide Personal Data of individuals who visit our Site or otherwise provide their Personal Data for marketing purposes to third party partners, such as advertising partners, analytics providers, and social networks, who assist us in advertising our products and services to you. This may be considered a data “sale” or “sharing” as those terms are defined under the CCPA and other applicable US privacy laws.where legally required, you may opt out as described in Section 9.

8. Sensitive Information; No Health Information

Some categories of personal information receive heightened protection under state law, including government identifiers, precise geolocation, biometric and genetic data, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and neural data. Where we collect such information about Site visitors or clients, we do so only with consent or as otherwise permitted by law.

The Site is not intended to receive health information governed by HIPAA, and you should not submit it. We are not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate with respect to the Site and do not sign Business Associate Agreements for it.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, and certain profiling, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to appeal a denied request, free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

To make a request, submit it at rbusa@sageintell.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by law, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted. We honor recognized opt out preference signals where required.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy and to meet legal, tax, accounting, and audit requirements, then delete or deidentify it. Investigative files are retained under our engagement agreements and applicable record retention, licensing, and FCRA requirements.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will post the updated Terms and, when required by law, provide notice at least 15 days before it takes effect and/or notify you before they take effect 

Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, except where the law requires affirmative consent.
